Many years ago and many lbs, I used to ride out here on my bike (the pedal kind) that was some 20yrs ago. Anyway, I had just sat down to enjoy today's stage of the Tour de France when I saw the tag!! I recognized it right away and contemplated going out in the heat. And here is the result...

Surprised nobody has got this tag yet. I have been too exhausted to go out there. Last week I was working 9pm-6am, then we had a change this week to 4am-10am. My body is suffering from the adjustment.

Yup, that shift work is a real pain. I would rather work grave yard shift all the time instead of changing back and forth. But, we can't always work the schedules we want. Hope it gets easier for you.

The normal shift is 9-6. They are trying something new by having us come in at 4am. I kind of like it since it will be more compatible with my school schedule. As a bonus I get Saturday and Sunday off.

In a couple minutes I am going to put up a pic of another little project I picked up this weekend.

So my wife went to Hobby Lobby to get some stuff and I went over to check out the models. I ended up getting my first model since I was 9 or 10 years old. Its almost done, it just needs the paint to be finished and touched up in areas and put the cab on.

That looks like it has a lot of detail... pretty cool! BTW, what make is that pocket knife in the 2nd pic??

I was very amazed by the detail and work that it takes to put this thing together. I don't think I will ever be capable of putting it together the way I want.

That knife is a Leatherman C301. I bought it a couple years ago at Cabelas when I was sorta looking for a smaller knife. I didn't really need one, but it was on clearance for $15 or something like that. It has turned out to be a really good knife. Its never needed to be sharpened and has always had a great edge. I gave it to my wife when I bought my SOG flash II.

Tomorrow I have the day off so I am thinking of heading out to grab the tag. Now that I am commuting on the bike it's not such a treat to go out for a nice ride. Of course I might wait until Saturday so I can try out my new Airglide 3 pants that are coming in Thursday. I could go out there anytime if I would stop working on things like this:

So my first attempt at airbrushing turned out real well. Just lacks the fine touch-up job that is yet to be done.

It was easy and it still took about a month for this thing to move. Maybe this one will get WB to go out and do some exploring.
