Think it crashed again. Just went to look for a track and got nothing but a white screen.

Hey crafty...
ive been looking for a replacement for dual sport maps recently..and I cant find anything i like nearly as much. so i just wanted to encourage you not to give up on this great app...ive been loading my gpx files manually and it works just fine. maybe the loss of the website isn't too much of a blow.
the app still works just fine. maybe we could share our gpx files in a fourm such as this. just tade them and manually install them.

please dont give up totally on the app...it would be great if you could get it back on the market as a standalone navigator , like osmand or backcountry navigator. they dont have websites to download gpx files and still get lots of use. neither is as good as dual sport maps.

dont quit just cause the website is broken....

APP bailed me out

I was out riding and got separated from the group on some fire roads no cell service for directions no paper topo map opened up DSM and win in 60 seconds it found were I was at and I zoomed out and picked a route out of the woods.

Again when time permits dont give up on the site!!!

Thanks for a good product!

Great story, Tom. I just need to come up with a scenario that affords time to work on it. Give me some time, I suspect I'll come up with something.

So... have I missed any posts regarding comments that DSM-created .gpx files won't open in Mapsource or Basecamp? i.e. "2014-07-10.gpx" could not be imported".

These are .gpx files created on a Samsung Tab 2 running DSM, copied to computer, then attempted to open in Mapsource/Basecamp.

I found a quick fix for the latest .gpx file (copy attached) by importing it into a freebe professional program used in the GIS world called "DNR GPS". On importation, and when compared to a working .gpx file, the problem file seems to be missing entries in what I presume to be the primary key fields for the file. So what I did was simply re-export the just-imported .gpx file, as a .gpx file with a different name. Comparing the two files side by side, the newly exported .gpx version now has numbers in what I suspect are the primary key fields of the .gpx file, AND it opens in Mapsource/Basecamp.

BTW, there are a few of these Samsung Tab 2/DSM generated .gpx files that won't open even with DNR GPS; I didn't explore that just yet.

Anyways, I suspect there may be numerous workarounds with this issue, so my question is more about what is the source of the problem in the first place? Ideally, the generated .gpx file seamlessly loads into any program that recognizes .gpx files. Is this problem with Samsung Tab 2's, DSM, or when Samsung Tab 2's are running DSM?

Anything jump out at you Crafty?

Can only attach one file at a time here, so first attachment is the original .gpx file as an example of the files straight off the tablet that won't load into Mapsource/Basecamp.

The second, working .gpx file, after being imported into DNR GPS and then re-exported, again as a .gpx file.
