Only if you previously bought it. Then you can reinstall it (on a diff phone) by going to your Play store previous orders.

I never bought it, I'm assuming by your response that it's no longer available to new users? Didn't see anything about that on the dualsportmaps.com website

Are there any alternatives?

Quite a few, but obviously, not direct replacements.

To be honest, and CraftyCoder I mean ZERO offense (I love your work), I find the newest versions of OsmAnd+ a bit more to my liking than DSM. DSM is based off of OsmAnd, but an older version, and the newer versions have several refinements that are either not in DSM, or were removed. I created my own rendering .xml that I like quite a bit, and this functionality was removed in DSM. Routing has been improved SIGNIFICANTLY in recent versions of OsmAnd also.

That said, the DSM.com tie in is MASSIVE in the DSM app, especially if you ride in areas with a ton of cool maps. Of course, if you know in advance, you can download the .gpx files and load them into whatever software you want. I have my fingers crossed that CC is able to revive DSM on an updated version of OsmAnd and have the best of all worlds.

There is also ViewRanger, BackCountry Navigator, etc. I don't have a lot of time in any of the rest.

"Back Country Navigator" is quite awesome!

I have a toughpad tablet I am using it on..

It's a tad tricky to learn and figure out but it is a VERY powerful tool for what "we do" I'm really digging it!

I watch business TV channels for investing and this week there was some announcement about Nokia making their mapping system available to Samsung and others. Perhaps CC could look into using that database of maps for DSM? I have no idea how much coding that would take but it would be great for the great many people who want to keep using DSM.

For my kind of use, I could care less about routing and similar features. No idea what Nokia's proprietary mapping system is, but probably a good bet it isn't mapping of all the old logging roads, mining roads, etc in the remote areas of the Rocky Mountains.

The biggest thing for me is having the best topo mapping available for viewing offline on a phone or tablet. That doesn't eliminate the problem of governments not updating the cultural data in their topo mapping often enough, but for me the USGS topo maps and NRCAN topo maps are about as good as it gets right now. Custom mapping features take care of the rest; just a matter of firing up ArcGIS.

Settings -> Data for Offline Storage -> download overlay maps -> [crash] -> "Unfortunately, dual sport maps has stopped". Am able to download vector maps.

Is this one of the borken aspects of the map (per Google sunsetting the old maps api)? Or, am I doing something wrong?
