You would if you'd been to the RDV via pavement.

BTW..Cuttle...Bob the campground grandpa, thought I was riding your bike one day because it was red and all scratched up.

I was thinking of repainting the bike, but got the evil eye from friends because the bike came with the scratches - it's a "Rick's Original"

and PFFOG, it's Dennis Cove Road in Hampton, TN - the road to the RDV

I have been on it then a couple times then, guess I was concentrating on the pavement to see the road.

I needed some helmet time, but I didn't want to leave the house for too long...

So, Big Laurel, to Hot Springs (picked a tag) and back had to do:

found this small really old cemetery near Chapel Hill (Madison County)

White Rock Hospital

neighbors

the new tag I set: WNC tag game

Big Laurel - that's how they secured the banks in old times (apparently somewhere upstream are about 20 cars filled with rocks)

back home: Mojirita (still working on perfecting the mix)

Looks like you had fun Silke! Great photos of those old abandoned houses.
Wished I lived nearby, I would have swung by the shop to get help taking the wheel bearings out! Had no luck whatsoever!
Say hi to Hunter, the dogs and the goats!

Went through that water crossing a couple of weeks ago. It is a tricky one. I made it through via a complicated ritualistic series of power walks, cursing/praying and gunning it when all else failed. My buddy wasn't so lucky...

I watched Alan and Craig "struggling" through the water crossing, and I tried to follow the instructions. Both saved it by putting a foot or two down, well that generally does work for me...

So, should I blame a) the instructions, b) the execution, c) the short leg syndrom, or d) all of the above???

Either way, thanks guys for the pick up - and sorry your feet got wet

The guys behind us tried different versions:

yup.... and that's how I lost my old camera

I just blame my short legs - there is no way I can put my feet down and walk or save anything.
