It tops out at 82 mph indicated, but folks say the true speed is about 75.

I just could not bring myself getting down to an XT size, because I still have a lot of road to ride to get to the dirt (takes me at least 45min to the nearest off-gravel). And, one day I may just get a set of super-moto wheels too (not this year for sure).

It got hot between my legs, Shane made me swallow and I ended up with a wet crutch....

Today's plan was to ride a certain road near Hot Springs, but it is known for bike-swallowing mud pits (just ask FancyIndigo ). So, because of the rain, we decided to try Buffalo Mountain ATV trail instead.

small group: _anatic and HalcyonDaze (Kenny, Jonathan and Rob: you missed a great ride )

trail-head:

heads off to Dave riding my err his DR up this trail in this slick conditions

oops

the "rock face"

second try - Shane was the only one that got up unassisted

made it! (with help - thanks guys! )

waiting to give Dave a hand

oops

- only me....

that's were it started to get "hot between my legs".... somehow the engine kept revving up like the joke is full on . Gotta look into that (maybe the throttle cable, maybe something whit the joke, maybe...).

And I ran out of water... thanks Shane for sharing! (I just need to learn how to swallow... )

only half of the trail is open right now due to storm damage, and since it was very slick we decided to take the gravel road down (and to be honest we were kinda pooped anyway)

they didn't expect us... and the road was slick like snot

turns out the gravel road was closed for repairs:

glad we "bailed": the rain got really heavy - and that's how I got my "wet crotch"

And I have to say: the DRZ is great - so much easier to ride!

a few more pics here.

Ahhh, Don't remember being invited. Perhaps I'm being presumptuous and you are referring to another Rob. I also need time to take the 17's off and put on the nobs

Looks like a great ride. Glad you guys had fun on your new bike. Congrats to Shane for cleaning the crux.

Different Rob, but don't worry we will definitely go back. On a certain Thursday in May.

Dropped the bike umpteen times, bent the shifter and foot brake levers, ran the battery down from trying to re-start so many times (it floods every time it lays on its side), layed it over and dragged it under a forest road gate, and nearly died from heat exhaustion.

A pretty good day

Thanks to Shane and Silke for ya'lls patience.
