Nevertheless, I will see what it is like this coming weekend (12/7-8/2013).
Catheys Creek is perfectly fine all year around (unless ice) - but I seem to remember something about being closed a few weeks back. Bueller, Bueller, Anybody?

It was snowing for a bit a couple of weeks ago, but today we were in the 60th ... and wet. Supposed to go down to 28 during the day by next week, so I had to take advantage of the temps

I figured I will be gone a while, so I started with a bit pre-ride prep work:

well, by the time I was dressed and had the bike moved out, it started to rain... so I didn't actually leave till 3 in the afternoon - still enough time for a little 65 mile loop

Paint Creek

no luck with the "no rain"

Hwy 197

a wee bit "snoddy" on my tires....

downtown Barnardsville

dried a bit up on California Creek

and my domestic bliss payed off - soups done by the time I got home (gotta love crock-pots)

yes it is. Funny thing is you can buy the lots inside the turns on the left (no idea why you would though).

the pic was taken near the E from "you are here" - HWY 197 is the thin grey line below the lots

Just bought a ham to make some soups, split pea, and my favorite Ham and cabbage with curry and ginger (the ginger makes it gas-less).

Still working on the turkey rice from thanksgiving leftovers.

Love good soup.

And the 197 has fresh pavement!

It's a beautiful day today - but COOOOOOLD! . So instead of riding, I annoyed the goats with a little red hat

Happy Holidays Everybody!
