Was just up at Cayamant on the weekend. I stopped at the General Store, and they now carry the good Unibroue beers in the big 750ml bottles!

Just as a note, there are two general stores in Cayamant, and I think you can probably find a chip-truck or something like that. So it's an option for lunch on Saturday. There should be gas provided they don't run out (it's a 1 pump kinda place), but only 87 Octane. There's not much else in town.

Gracefield has just about everything you could want. Couple good restaurants for lunch, lots of gas and booze. (though these really are too early in the day...)

And I should point out that the section between Laureat and Cayamant is quite remote. It's 50km of a whole lotta nothing. There is no civilization, and it's not even a park. Don't leave anybody for dead.

Google Maps shows a route that is more direct between Laureat and Cayamant. Do NOT even think about it. It doesn't exist anymore. Make SURE you follow the GPS track, or else you'll get stuck somewhere on the east side of Petit Lac Cayamant.

I wonder if we should work out the route for the support trucks? I know this section is easy, you can simply follow the 301 from Laureat to Kazabazua, and then down the 105 to Low. Kaz is a decent little town, and Low has one store and one gas, and a tow truck/garage.

I should also point out that the K&P on Friday is *totally* doable in any truck, even a car. It's really scenic. Don't worry, it's still fun on bikes, you'll just be going about twice as fast.

I'm still waffling on whether to take my bike or the truck. If I take the truck, I'd have no problem leading another 4WD up the road from Laureat to Cayamant. As long as you don't mind some pin-striping on the paint, we'll make it. There's just a couple small bridges that might be out, then we turn back. Other than that, it's just a rough dirt road, nothing extreme. Fun in any case.

I'm looking at needing $600+ in equipment (gas tank and panniers) to make the trip on my bike. And frankly, it might be best if somebody sweeps that section of the route. Because if somebody has a mechanical, you'll be stuck there.
