Anybody around Roanoke VA?

Hi,

My wife and I are travelling two-up around the world and after Africa and South America we just made it to the US.

We landed with the bike in Florida, coming from Columbia, and we're heading north to the Smoky moutains and Blue Ridge Highway. We're planning to spend a night around Roanoke, VA. Does any of you live somewhere near that place and could have a spare room for us or even let us pitch our tent in your garden?

We could take you out for a drink and cook some "french crepes" for you

Thanks
Aurel

Depending on when you are coming through, I may be able to provide a room. When will you be in Roanoke?

I can help you if you need a place to stay around atlanta, GA

My house is 30 minutes east of atlanta on int20E. it could be a good place to stop before the blue ridge parkway. It takes me 2hours to get up to the mountains when I ride. My wife is at home now and I will get there thursday. I am in Ghana, west africa right now. I am a boat captain and have been in africa since the gulf closed oil production. we could talk about some cool things. also I have a shop if you might need to do some bike work. PM me if you need a place and if it is before thursday I can let the wife know. you can find the wife on couchsurffer, her name is cristina-DSbikegirl.

Aurel,
I sent you a private message. We live right off the Blue Ridge Parkway about 20 miles before you get to Roanoke, in Floyd County. We have a bedroom we can offer you, plus amenities. Beautiful country, and cooler than down in the Roanoke Valley. We would not be able to host you on a Thursday, but other days are not a problem.
Hank and Pat

So do you need a place to stay or not? You possibly can do better than what my brother and our families have to offer, but I doubt it.
We have, in no particular order
A full shop including a tire changer
A warehouse full of beer
A friend who owns a gourmet wine shop
Location of about 30 min from the Blue Ridge Parkway
And two, yes, not just one, Papilllons
it can't get much better than that

OK, Hutch, if they come to your place, can I come by and visit, and help with that beer?

We have three. Thank goodness only one of the three likes to ride. Cool little dogs...

Beautiful dog! Mine like the jeep but I doubt they would stay on a bike.
