No riding to report this weekend because we were busy blowing it out for Kim's 25th...which is also her Mom's errr 52nd...

We were going to go riding on Saturday, but Friday night quickly turned into Saturday morning in the Highlands and Downtown, so riding was out of the question for both of us.

Anyway, we started out Friday night with a bunch of Friend's at Vita in the Highlands for dinner. Service was good, food was good to pretty good, and the price was a tad high for the quality of the entree IMO. Only got one picture on the way out because I left the camera in the car....

What's the saying? I hate to see her leave but I love to watch her walk away?

After Vita, we walked over to the Ale House. Tons of beer, and it wasn't as crazy crowded as I'd thought it was going to be. We hit up the roof top, and had a good few hours. The view from the top is awesome, and the bar up stairs is small, but easy to get to. I liked this place.

On Saturday (after we finally woke up), we started in on round two with Kim's mom, brother, and Step dad. The last few years, we've gone to the Melting Pot in Littleton, and it's somewhat of a tradition now. We always drink too much wine and eat until we're stuffed:

On Sunday, I got up and played with the KTM a bit:

New fuel map, washed, ajusted and lubed the chain, and then took a small ride. For Kim's bday, I bought her a tattoo she's been wanting for a while. It's her sixth one, but by far her biggest. It took about 4.5 hours total, and she was pretty sore at the end:

The guy doing her tattoo (Jeremy at Mantra BTW) had a cool CL 360:

He just sold his Ducatic because he loves this thing so much he was never riding it. He's got a CB 350 too, and we BS'd about bikes the whole time. Anyway, it was another great bday, and I look forward to spending many more with you Kim. Love you.

Don't worry, we'll be back to riding next weekend when we head out with Dusty and Sarah for the weekend

Yeah, it's Dusty's stompin grounds I believe, and I'm pretty damn excited for him to show us around....gonna be a hoot for sure.

Well I had to cancel the trip with Dusty and Sarah because I got rear ended on the way home from work the week we were all supposed to leave:

Sucks, because Kim and I were really looking forward to the ride. Looks like we're going to try for one of the last weekends in September though

Anyway, the bike was in the shop for a bit, and I had to leave town for a week for work, so I'm just now getting time to tie up the loose ends for my next ride that is starting Thursday the 8th.

Jay and I are going to do a section of the CDR starting from Banf and going somewhere south of CO. I think the plan is to just ride as far as we have time (about 10 days total).

Anyway, I started doing inventory today:

Jay's been pre-packing and adjusting throughout the week:

We're going to get together tomorrow and ~~drink some beer~~ compare notes, and I think planning wise, we'll be good to go. I bled my front brakes and my rear pads are supposed to be here Tuesday night, so I'll swap them in and do an oil change. I just put some fresh rubber on the rear, so should be good to go there.

But we're missing a member of the Wolfpack you say? Well Sean was going to go with us, but unfortunatey something came up, so he had to pass. Either that or he got some sand in his vagina I can't remember.

I'm gonna try to post a few pics from the road, but probably won't be anything to write home about. I am taking my good camera, so hopefully I'll have some good stuff to share when I get back.

bummer about the accident. I about got the same on Friday. Lady locked 'em up behind me to try and stop in time. We were in stop and go traffic for miles but somehow she just wasn't paying attention.
