Boy, I'm beginning to think is was a VERY good thing that I didn't bring my little KTM motard down for the ride WITH THE JOISEY PLATES!

Forgot to mention that I saw Grimm save what seemed to be CERTAIN to be a vicious (though low-speed) high-side. I was right behind him at the time.

Chris ... nice save!

Yeah...harpoon had one of those too...

If harpoon hadn't made such a miraculous save The Biff Brothers would of had a double header.

I wonder if that's available as a Virginia license plate?

I'm thinking about getting another GS. Every time I help get a crashed one out of a ditch I'm impressed by how well they fire up and take off again.

(Sheriff, I hate to tell on these boys but there's a couple fellas up in Dogwood Valley with a methamphetamine lab and they've got a dog that's limping real bad from where I saw 'em run it over with one 'a them stolen horses they got...).

I'm all calmed down now. Really.

I'm really glad I missed this one. Don't like seeing friends go down- and I don't think I'd have enjoyed your little encounter with the locals. Something about sucking it up in front of dumbasses just bothers me~

Hey Ted,

Thanks for the extensive analysis and education on redneckism in VA. I am always "all ears" when it comes to survival and avoidance of conflict and pain! Sounds like you are an expert!

Been almost ten years since I lived here and I forgot (or never knew) all of that info. My previous encounters were typically on a bicycle and I either got beer cans thrown at me or whistled at for wearin' them thar tight shorts. Was always fun stopping at Wyantt's Store on a Saturday morning...

I think John's bottom line should read " Steverino's GPS will get you killed".

My wife works with 3 folks who grew up in Bacon Hollow. Yesterday one of them said "They went into Dogwood Valley on Saturday afternoon? Anybody give them any trouble?"

And you guys think I make this stuff up...

Ted
