Can U recommend a Shop with a great clothing range in Washington DC?

Hi Folks

Jude and I are jetting in (always wanted to say that ) to DC next month, to start a 6 week ride, and are wanting to buy some Riding pants, boots/shoes etc.

Would really appreciate knowing where there is a shop(s) with a good range to choose from please. Given the NZ/USA exchange rate atm and what we pay for stuff back home, not so worried about where to save 2 bucks, just really want the choices.

Many thanks in advance

Pete and Jude

Motorcycle shops in DC

Pete and Jude,
In DC proper there's Modern Classics (http://modernclassicsdc.com/) who carries a relatively small stock, but it includes Rev'it, and it's a great little shop to check out.

Out in the 'burbs, north towards Baltimore by about 45 minutes is Bob's BMW (http://www.bobsbmw.com/) who carries a huge selection, including BMW, Rev'it, Tourmaster, etc.

If you'd like to grab a coffee while you're in town, be in touch! michael.krushinsky at gmail.com.

Safe travels,
Michael

In Falls Church and Hoodbridge (really Woodbridge), VA there is Coleman Power Sports http://www.wherethepoweris.com/. That is the largest non-HD dealer I can think of in the area. Also in Woodbridge is a nice shop called The Motorcycle Factory http://www.motorcyclefactoryinc.com/

Sorry I can't help you with DC proper, but I avoid it when I can.

You say you are flying in. If you are coming from another country you are NOT flying into DC. You are flying into Dulles airport which is in Northern Virginia (unless you are coming from somewhere that goes to National, but that is still Virginia). IF you are flying into Dulles and are staying near Dulles, there is a dealer in Leesburg, VA http://www.loudounmotorsports.com/ that has a fairly decent selection of riding apparel. Leesburg is just up the road from Dulles airport.

Hi Erik, thanks a bunch for the heads up, yes we fly into Dulles - I must confess to not totally getting my head around the D of C thing yet!

Appreciate your help

Pete

Which airport are you flying in to? BWI is very close to Bob's BMW (excellent stock). Coleman's is relatively close to Dulles.

Those two stores have the best options by far for gear.

Since you're flying into Dulles... That's not TOO far from Leesburg. As SteelB12 noted, Loudoun Motorsports carries about as good a selection as I've seen locally including Olympia and other brands.
