I was thinking of making the trip up for this on Thursday and camping a couple of days, provided that I can still find a place last minute to set up a tent. This would be my first overnight bike trip, so I'm hoping I can make it work

Thanks for the update FireEscape

As for as last minute camping. A friend of mine is staying at Yogi Bear in Ashland. try there I used to stay there until they got too crazy with the rates. Now that attendance is down rates are also. Then a little ways out in Campton is the KOA they have nice cabins for rainy nights.

Keep posting here I may be taking a ride to Rays seafood on Friday and Bentleys.

A lot of near identical cruisers in that first pic, is that how most of it is?

i was contemplating the same thing while i was camping & riding around the adirondacks during americade.
But after some deep thoughts i've decided to turn my bike in the opposite direction and go on a quest for better weather...

Wearing my rain gear over my mesh gear kept me warm while riding in the rain most of the week.
Woke up to some chilly mornings too, here i is steaming up my tent a few degrees...

To all who make it to laconia have a swell time...

Yeah, it doesn't look like the weather will cooperate. I'm still hoping it won't be too bad.

I only go if I am driving an armored vehicle. A bunch of drunk assed, "loud pipes save lives" weekend warriors riding on trailer queens is not really something I care to experience more than once.

I live about 12 miles East of the Speedway so not quite in the Lakes Region but close.
This morning is sunny, a bit breezy but already up into the 60's. I offer no opinion on how long it will last but not a bad day here so far.

The weather sucks today but it's supposed to clear up tomorrow. I'll probably ride up in the morning and look for a place to camp
