After leaving the top of blod Mtn, I headed north on 129 and then headed over the Ricky Russell scenic hwy. This road is like an older and smaller version of the Cherohala Skyway. It's not as long, the elevation is lower but it is much more curvy

I had a great ride all the way over and only had got stuck behind slow moving traffic once. I just pulled over to let them get ahead and saw this view.

At the end of the RRSH I took a left then a right to the N. Ga. Mtns #1 tourist trap.

Despite not being close to peak tourist season yet, it was already a traffic jam in down town Helen, GA.

I parked my scooter in the MC only parking and walked around.

Each pair of those shoes have 500 or more miles hiked on the Appalachain Trail. And the building is the only place the AT crosses through a man made structure.

After leaving Helen I retraced my route back over the Ricky Russell Hwy. I got my first really good scraaape on a right hand curve. I touched down the fairing on the right side. Earlier in the day i had nicked the centerstand on the left. I was really starting to get comfortable with the Aprilia in the curves. Here's a pic of the Ricky Russell Hwy:

Then it was back to the top of Blood mountain. There were still lots of bikes there:

This on had an "interesting" paint job:

Then it was time for one last run down the mountain.

I followed the guys above for a bit but the pace was too boring for me so I pulled over and let them
get ahead. Then it was 129 to 19 to 60 and back to Riders Hill.

These guys have sold over a dozen Sport Cities in the last year. Here's three:

The owner told me they try to keep on of each kind of scooter prepped for test rides but they have been selling so fast they can't keep up.

Here's part of the showroom:

That ended my ride for the day. Time to leave my scooter here so they could replace a leaking fork seal. As I dropped it of the Service manager mentioned my front tire.

I guess I've been around a few curves That's the price I pay for chasing Ducatis and other sport bikes. So I put in an order for a new front tire while it's here in the shop anyway.

That's It for this days ride. Next weekend I'm planning on heading to Deal's Gap to tackle those 318 curves with my 11 HP Super 8.

Good to see you last weekend, Klaviator. It has been phenomenal riding weather.

I would have loved to see GSP's reaction to the two carts slinging down the road. How fast you reckon they were going when you took those pics?

If you want more Lamborghinis, there is a mechanic on the north side of Cumming on Tribble Gap Rd (turns into a nice little route to get north of Cumming) that has an old school red Diablo. THE poster hanging on every kid's wall (right next to that Cindy Crawford and Kathy Ireland one, lol).

I miss Dale's, too. TWO as well. Oh well.
