Lake Superior Trip

I am planning on riding counter-clockwise around lake superior June 22nd-June 28th. I am looking for fellow Minneapolis area riders that would be interested in going with. Also, anyone from Duluth, Superior, or anywhere along the south shore of Lake Superior would be welcome to hook up and come along too.

I have done the trip clockwise before, so I have experience. It can be done comfortably in 6 days at 2-300 miles per day. I will be camping the whole way. No hotels. Reply or PM if interested. Should be fun!

PS, Remember your valid passport.

Will do!

I'd love to meet other riders too! Maybe chat for a sec or drink a beer while talking bikes for a brief moment.

I know you have done the ride before, but when on the south shore of Superior, be sure to take the the newly paved H-58 from Munising over to Grand Marais. This is an awesome stretch of brand new asphalt that goes through the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (no permits required).

Also be aware that M-123 is currently closed between Newberry and Paradise to replace a culvert.

Be sure to take the "Curley Lewis Highway" (also known as Lakeshore Drive) along the stretch of Lake Superior between Paradise and Brimley. Its a great stretch with lots of nice views.

I'll be in Wawa on the 27th heading up and over to Duluth then on to the RA in Chippewa Falls, WI on the 30th +/-. You are about one week ahead of schedule. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Barley (golden retriever sidecar monkey) and I will be up there around the same time. We'll head out from Agawa Bay on the 27th going CCW around Superior, probably reach the UP on the 29th. Be sure to say hi if you see a bright yellow GS hack with a doggle-clad dog.

Sorry to hijack!
But Wawa on the 27th then it looks like Thunder Bay on the 28th and maybe Duluth or even the rally on the 29th.
