First I laughed.

Then I cried.

That one hit a little too close to home; reminded me of an old girlfriend

Upon Reflection

I have read this before and just now several times.

If I may be so bold, I dont include myself in his "We" (except for the first two).

I have smelled a lot of roses, and eaten a lot of dirt!
I think a lot of motorcycle folks are the same. Carlin would be proud of us all.

I must be doing something right cause I sure aint got no MONEY!

This guy has his set up for short track.. no front brake ! Slip tires... Low slung pige on Right side...

When you only turn left is cool to shift on the right.

I sure have enjoyed that old pic thread, Vic!

Most, if not all, of you POGs no doubt remember when this pic was being used for a Honda ad...I surely do. Scott Summers could turn an XR6 into an Amazing Flying Machine.

You got that right!

I saw Summers race a GNCC on his last 650- ride. He was awesome! Could a been on a 125 the way he rode that thing.

Fast Forward to Refro Valley DS (who knows when 2009 maybe) and I get to visit with him in his "Tent". What can you say but another "Legend" who is simply a really nice guy. Ahhh just dont get in front of him during a race!

BTW _ I just got some white boots .... I mean if Scott can wear em!

I seem to recall you tellin me some time ago that you met Scott Summers on one occasion. Didn't you also meet Malcolm Smith one time? Talk about rubbing shoulders with true Legends...

And since this is the POG thread, and since Jaxxzenn has been posting pics of cool old bikes, here's my contribution--I've always liked the old scramblers, and the Suzuki 2-smokers were some of the coolest...

Bet it'd do a wheelie

Actually I think it was Madhouse that met Malcolm. I never had the pleasure.

However - here we go again -I did meet and ride with John Penton on several occasions. Several times I rode on the same row as King Richard Berleson back in his heyday! Years later I talked with him at the Tenn National and he remember the RACES we rode-ahh he did not remember me. And even farther back that that, I raced with and sat around the tent area with Roger Decoster, Hiki Micola, Torsten Hallman and a few more big Euro names at the Trans-AM race in 1971. They were all on CZs back then and I was riding a CZ and spoke some Russian sooooo...

But heres a good one. Phil spent Billy Bowlegs Saturday afternoon with Ricky Carmichel - yea that one! This was back when we were still into racing heavy.
There were pics but god knows where they are now.
