My KLX had a leaky cam cover too. So many that I seem to remember there being an updated part number- though my memory fails me at times...

Make that 3, I considered it more of an annoyance, figured I'd change it at the valve service.

Sheesh - I guess I'll have to do deeper research on my next purchase.

Now where is that bus that just ran over me?

Just got back from Suches, what a hoot. Weather was great, if a wee bit chilly at night. Never rained a drop while I was up there. Leaves were starting to change, not full fall color yet but that also meant that we didn't hafta share the road with a buncha leaf peepers. Bridal Veil Falls outside Highlands NC wasn't too crowded on Friday:

Saw Phaedrus' dream bike--this is the best example of a well-farkled ZRX11 I've ever seen, and it's the proper color too

Didja know that for the low, low price of only $200/day you can go to Rider's Hill in Dahlonega GA and rent this MV Agusta Brutale, and flog it like a red-headed stepchild? It's true. I sawr it.

I think SDH would call this group a buncha "nogoodniks." In fact I know he would. Oh well. SDH wasn't invited.

Rode to Helen to do the Oktoberfest thing and drink some good German beer.

Saw this sign at a beverage store in Helen--targeted at us KLR riders, no doubt. I looked all over the store for PBR Streetgang, but there was none to be found

Thumb Excellent!

Thanks Inept! As always - an excellent RR and quality pics!

Finally got the cam cover gasket Saturday evening. I installed it yesterday. Short test ride - so, we'll see, but no leaks after about 2 miles. I thought that I had more than just a cam cover leak due to all the spots it was leaving all over my garage but I have a hunch it was just the cam cover at the top of the engine that let the oil take 6 different ways to find itselt to my garage floor. One can only hope.

Those damn nogoodnicks! And man - that pair of ZRXs ARE nice! I've always liked those things too.

agreed, Petey. But properly looked at, all Weather is perfect. (in this part of the world at least)

Glad you got to confab with Ma and son. Time flies, my friend. Grab that shit, every second.

A colleague's mother died a week and a half ago; got the notice last night that his dad died over the weekend. Talk about double-whammy.
