Assuming you're running iGo Primo, here is the short version.

Go to https://www.google.com/mymaps and create a new map. Edit its title to something descriptive. Add a few waypoints (the icon next to the hand, with the "Add marker" description on mouse-over) in the order in which you want your route to intersect them. It helps to give your waypoints descriptive titles since they'll show up with these descriptions on the GPS itinerary. Once you've added all the waypoints, click the map options menu (three vertical dots next to "Add Layer" and "Share") and "Export to KML." Save this file on your computer (Edit: I note that now Google maps is exporting a zip file with the kml and images of the waypoint markers and who knows what else. So just extract the kml file), and then copy it to the content/userdata/route folder under the Primo2 root directory. Then you can load the route from the GPS under the "More" menu inside the "Route" screen.
