That's a great photo, don't see those shots happening today, well not as much as in '70s, not a lot of young people coming up through the ranks 'so to speak'.
Cheers

This is my 1983 Z1300 Carbie HRD double outfit!
Amazing bike on the road, set up by Ron Hurdis, who was absolutley rilliant (RIP)

It had LL built by Terry Gunter in Wollongong, Bob Martin modified a Renault rim onto another Z13 rear wheel. It handled amazingly well.

I built it originally for Dad and Mum to take to the Ulysses AGM in Alice Springs. it was a hoot to ride. Won best sidecar at the 1984 NSW Sidecar Rally.

I had 5 other bikes and regretfully sold it to a guy in Dalby. I rode it up to deliver it and nearly turned around and went home to Camden NSW.

Dad and Mum in 1994 NT

I will build one again . . . . eh Ray

Ignore him, he's just a cranky old bastard!

Jacket is Laura's. Dianese race suit. Bought in Europe for $A150. That was 1981.
Alec is now far too big for it.
Laura still fits in it.

10 inch to a bigger tyre

Has anyone changed their side car tyre from a 10 inch to a bigger tyre and what are the advantages of doing so.

Only reason I'm putting a 16" wheel [M/C] on the sidecar is to be interchangeable with the bike rear, hence carrying a spare wheel for both, but it's usually the rear bike wheel that is the problem.
Then when I had a chair, I was only running standard 18" wheels, had few flats on the rear but never on the sidecar, good luck not management!
Cheers

I've just put at 12" on mine. Mainly so that it sits level but also to give me a little more ground clearance (210 mm now). Wheel is a Ford Telstar (?) with a 155 width tyre. Sidecar is a DJP on an XS1100.
