The ride was soooo windy but there was so many great sites to see. Getting close to Zadar further down the coast it was a little more protected by the wind so had the chance to stop and take a few pictures

Nice day for a ride so lets go to a few of the islands on the coast of Croatia down near Zadar

Random little town worth a picture, absolutely no one around

Riding along and see a dirt road leading to somewhere that'll do 10k's later back on the main drag, just a little bit of fun, cant really get lost here hit those mountains in the background you find the highway go the other way you hit the Adriatic sea so just no drama fun riding.

For all you Euro's out there I found Saint Nic's workshop, how the hell he makes all the presents in this tiny little dump I have no idea, must be a big workshop underground. Church of St Nicholas near Zadar Croatia.

The old and the new on the Adriatic Coast near Pag Croatia

Dont ask I have no idea what it was some kind of olden day look out I guess had nice views though.

Just a nice view on the Adriatic Coast Croatia

Obviously Hadjuk Split have some support around here even if they are a 180 k's away

Time to head home while still enjoying the scenary

The fishing would want to be bloody good to get me going down this lot

Not a soul in sight time to open her up baby brmmmm brmmmm

Great day, great riding and great fun.

Hi from Slovenija

Hi Sheldon!
Nice trip and even better pics.

"Dont ask I have no idea what it was some kind of olden day look out I guess had nice views though."

The ruins of a small fortress on the very tip of Pag Island is called Fortica.

A nice reminder of the good ol days, a few holes in the wall from a nice spray of shrapnel, Zadar was shelled in the war as a few of the villages just outside of town were Serb and they got together with their paramilitary brothers and attack the city causing a fair bit of damage. As i was reading up on some of this over the last few days i've found out that a few of the dirt roads around here were off limits due to landmines still being around, I guess it might be wise to stay on the tarmac for a little while around unless i do a bit of research before hand lol If i do get blown up ill try my best to get some pics or on video which would be even better ahahahah

Just some random shots of Zadar Croatia it really is a nice city but has been hammered by attacks right through history right back to the Venetians. This wall extends right around the old part of the city. Im guessing this little harbour has been used by all sorts of boats over hundreds and hundreds of years

The main gate to the city near the little harbour.

The other side of the city, the inner port where today all the ferries run to the islands up and down the coast. Zadar Croatia

Lots of little laneways throughout the old town of Zadar

Cafes in the back alleys are all really nice, the weather was pretty crappy but im sure in the tourist season and warmer months this town would be a hive of activity.

It really is a nice city and pretty too im glad had the time to wait to see it in nicer weather, lots of nice restaurants friendly people I liked Zadar but it was time to move on south to Split, with the weather due to be raining and wet for a few days I want to get down there before it sets in, I know its not a big deal to ride in the rian but im not in a hurry and if I dont have to I wont.

As this picture shows the conditions are still cold heading south and even if the temps are 2 to 4 degrees today its still a tad briskish.

The E65 and the D8 I think I was on, the one closer to the coast is fun riding but still in these conditions you have to be careful, im still having a laugh that i was riding in an area where they had possible landmines ahahahah boooooom
