Amazing skill with the lense and a real spark of joy is shown in how you write and capture your trip.

Keep it up

keep it up!

Nice pics and a great adventure! I wish I could do something like that before long. Be safe and have fun!

I'm the guy you met at the Dragon, with the yellow vstrom with the car tire on the rear wheel. Your bike is heavy loaded, but the seat is very nice.

Enjoy the rest of the trip and post some more pics!!!

Thank you brother. Good to meet you and your gang at the Dragon. You never told me why in the hell you put a car tire on the strom :)

We are in Miami now heading down to the Keys.

[QUOTE=mac inger;16499741]Thank you brother. Good to meet you and your gang at the Dragon. You never told me why in the hell you put a car tire on the strom :)

Well, for starters, the car tire will last waaay longer (around 20-25k miles), the MC tire is rated for 750 lbs, the car tire for over 1300 lbs...in tight turns I can almost keep pace with a sv650, in moderate turns I pull away due to Vee's HP...the car tire shows it's limitations in turns at very low speeds and in very tight turns...and the Vee is not known for it's great leaning qualities vs a real sports bike to begin with...in turns, I was able to lean pretty good, looking at the front tire, only about 1/4 in is unused on the edges...I was able to get used with the handling of the car tire in about 100 miles...I really can't find any real shortcomings by using the car tire...I do recommend it...

Enjoy your trip!

From Minnesota to New York

This gentleman here is DruiD, an inmate that drove 3 hours to get a tire from me from another generous inmate (rokklym) then another hour to the motel where were waiting chain smoking.

Here is what i wrote on the thread that i started in Central:

It is humbling to be reminded of what a cool collection of FFs are part of this site.
Jay rode for several hours to pick a tire from Chad and bring it to us in Rochester. He found us smoking cigarettes at the curb waiting for the sound of a gs. In the sea of harleys that must have been one of the nicest sights i have lain eyes on. :)
He then proceeded to let me "help" him put Chad's tire on and we then hung out and had some good times.

I can only hope some of you guys break down in LA sometime ;p so i can be of similar help.

To Jay and Chad, thanks to you brothers we are back on the road.

Cheers and godspeed
