Awesome video though, they're drift battle video is awesome too. The Icon gear is lame though. The sponsored look probably won't sell well with the ADV crowd unless you're a REALLY big fan of the Dakar Rally IMO

Yeah all I saw was a skidplate, and then figure exhaust and suspension work. So maybe what, $3-4k not counting the paint job?

I agree on the gear. I'm not a fan of Icon anyway. I have a pair of their boots (my first pair) and while comfy, the quality is HORRIBLE. They look like complete crap after only a few months of use, so I don't even wear them anymore. Emails to the factory about it went unanswered.

Likewise, Alpinestars is kinda on my sh-- list too. They did okay when they replaced some street boots that turned out to not be waterproof, but they ignored me when I told them my Tech 2's started coming apart after a creek crossing. And now the street boots look almost as bad as the Icons, all from the shift lever. Until I can replace them with some street Sidis, I'm stuck with them. For adventure touring though, I just got a set of Sidi Adventure Rain boots, which rock.

They do have NOS though and I'm guessing that takes some bucks.... And I NEED that skid plate! Some custom graphics would be nice too.

We went for a ride last weekend, Tyson and I have been too busy preparing for the grand opening of The Backcountry Pursuit tomorrow to write however. I will say that riding a 5 inch wide strip of single track mud surrounded by snow and cut into the side of a mountain is...exhilarating!

The business is up and running! I've actually had some time to do some riding the past two Mondays. That means I have three ride reports to catch up on. Waking up in the morning is hard enough for me, I can't imagine the time and effort it is starting a business. Nice to see some pictures from you out and about, and hope your new endeavor works out. Not that you didn't like what you did before, but it's always nice to do something you enjoy.
