Grok, Received the Harmonizer last Friday only took 7 days to Switzerland which isn't bad.
This is some Nice looking Kit took it out today and did the magic. It had been raining the whole weekend so I had to wait till today. Thanks for bringing out such a gadget at such a honest price.
Also thanks for keeping value down on the customs form. That certainly help in getting it to me quicker.
Cheers
Michael

Nice Tune Up Tool

I finally got around to pulling the tupperware today and tuned my 2000 RT with the Harmonizer. I am happy to join the crowd here reporting how well it works. The display is much easier to use than a bouncy TwinMax. Being fussy I really like the sensitivity and accuracy of this tool. I decided to road test my settings by raising my windshield, applying a few short strips of temporary electrical tape to the edge, hooked on the Harmonizer and went for a short ride. Very enlightening to see what happens in real time under load!
I came back home, did a few final tweeks and rode it like this again. I was happy to see only 2mBar of deviation at a neutral throttle position between 2500 to 4K RPM and much less surge. This is always where the surging is the worst on my 1100. Being able to virtually tune it out was a really good feeling.
Thanks for coming up with this product! Well worth the cost and satisfying to use. Still learning about it by reading here. I think I'll hook it up again in the morning just to see the smiley face! I did not notice that tonight as I was so focused on the center of that display! :-)

Pressure / Vacuum Transducer ?s

I am contemplating your tool, not only for bike use, but also for small engine developmnet. As such, I have a few less than normal questions.

When a transducer goes out of calibration, are there any adjustments available for the user / calibration lab to bring it back in or is it automatically a return the whole unit for service type of deal?

You mentioned it being calibrated. Is it NIST traceable from you?

What is the range and accuracy of the transducers you are using?

Are you stabilizing the signal by using an orifice in front of the transducer, averaging / filtering in the software, or a combination? Is any of this accessible to the user for modification?

Thanks - Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,
The Harmonizer was never intended as a lab-grade instrument (nor is it priced like one), just one that will give you excellent tuning results. Each sensor is has slightly different sensitivity characteristics, so the unit is calibrated during production by adjusting the sensor amplifier gain. For this application, there is no need for it to be adjusted after that.

Filtering is done in software. It is not user-accessible.

If you want, send me a PM with the type of measurements you need to make and how accurate they need to be. We can go into more detail.

Shipped on Aug 31st. You were my first customer in Nova Scotia, so I don't have a good feel for delivery.
But I think you should expect it in the next few days.
Thanks for the order!

Rats!

Well, maybe not. I just stumbled upon this thread from a cross-link thru the BMWMOA Oilhead forum. Am I too late for the discount?

The discount is still in effect for another week or so. But sadly I'm going to need to bump up the price a bit as I release the product to dealers.
