During the testing we tried brake fluid, gasoline, and maybe battery acid? I forget. We didn't try any acetone-based stuff or any really aggressive solvents. I've found the Lexan responds fairly well to polishing as long as you don't melt it in the process.

Also, I usually have a handful of reject tops around here that have some minor cosmetic issue. If yours gets really messed up give me a shout. There's probably a way to fix it for just postage or just a few dollars, depending on what I have on hand.

I'd love to visit there someday!

I'm making progress - It's alive and making measurements!

But I still can't give a firm date. Too many variables.

Wish I had more concrete news !

When I start a thread specific to the 4-channel unit I will post a link in this thread.

Great unit! I just did my R1100GS this afternoon. I think I got it close - still learning!

You may want to put this blurb which I found deeper in this post on the home page 'instructions' post:

"The "needle" sensitivity auto-ranges. If you exceed the limits of the display, the sensitivity of the needle is cut in half. "

When I was adjusting I noticed the display would blink and seem to recalibrate - I wasn't sure what was going on - but reading this now it makes sense....

Good suggestion. I made some changes to the first page!

Glad you like it!

Merci beaucoup for the "Harmonizateur" order!

It even works in Germany

Hi Grok,
I bought the Harmonizer in 2011 and had only played around with it, no real usage - until now!
We did the 30´km over the weekend on my 1200GS and the sync was like a charm with the Harmonizer: dead easy, quick and highly accurate. I had a BMW mechanic working on it and he was really impressed.
The result is a really well tuned boxer, VERY nice and smooth in throttle response.

Thanx for the product and good business!

We have a strong beemer community in France.
If I'm as pleased with the harmonizer as the other users, be sure I make a report on the french forums.

Wow! Ordered it friday. Got it yesterday (3 days later).
Holy crap this device is EASY to use, legible, and surprisingly small.

My inability to get my R1100S to idle within acceptable limits is certainly not a fault of this fine tool.

Fuel starvation? Vacuum leak?

Mark,
She idles too high (when warmed up)...and I knew I was in trouble when I ran out of adjustment range on the Brass Air Screws. Did not detect any vacuum leaks.

In a moment of weakness, I had a mechanic friend do the TB synch on the 54k service (42k and 48k tbs were done by me with good results)...shouldn't have. He might have misadjusted something in the throttle cable, throttle stop arena. Now researching plan B.
