I have. I was a beta tester for them and I used V.3 (final) on a mine and a friend's carbureted 950. The Harmonizer works as fine on them as they do on any BMW boxer twin.

The initial variants worked fine, too. There were just some subtle changes made for the final iteration.

I think the Harmonizer improved on the characteristics of homemade manometers by shrinking the tool's size (making it useful during road tests), reducing its static (in the garage) awkwardness and ultimately making carb syncing easier for the 'every man'.

You really don't need one, but I really liked it's portability when I used it on road tests.

One caveat about its use does exist. The device's output is drift-prone over long time periods, as it soaks up heat, and that is what the designer was working on throughout its production. In laymen's terms, the unit would have to be re-zeroed from time to time. The error was minor. You might never even feel the effect of the tool's drift, but it existed.

For me, I would sync an engine with it, then re-zero the Harmonizer, double-check the that the readings were good in my garage, go on a road test and then finally call the sync soup with a good road test.

I hope this helps.

For me, the best part of the Harmonizer (V1) is that the designer included the FYYFF screen for us beta testers. It's my personal AdvRider collectible.

Delay

I'm having a lot of trouble moving so Harmonizers will be further delayed.

I don't yet have a good estimate when they will be available.

Maybe as late as the first part of August. Hopefully...

You may want to check your facts, that update you quoted is from late May 2013.

Guys, may as well face facts. The Harmonizer is just not coming back!

I wanted to work with the OP to make it happen, even said I would get them produced for him, but he is just not interested.

Too bad, they are awesome. I used mine today a couple times. I hope it never breaks!

That is one thing for sure! Grok and I spent many hours talking tech on the phone during the Harmonizer development process. We've also talked several times during this pause say. My take from speaking with him is that the Harmonizer will be back.
