Laugh Pack it In - Pack it Out

Hey everyone, please do not forget your trash bags...Sequoia Natl' Forest rules are "pack it in > pack it out".

Departing 2pm, scenic adventure, 2-up okay, noobs okay, big bike friendly.
Riding over Sherman Pass to Horse Meadow Campground and Big Meadow - the largest meadow in the sierra range. About 80 miles round trip, about 30 miles of forest service road. 4 hours max trip time. Streetbikes can manage this one (I've done it).

Back in time for cocktail hour.

for the last 3 years, rich and i have been leading the nOObs to monache. i hope someone this time step up to lead the nOObs.

i can make a gps route (the easiest route, but not exactly very easy) if you guys want.

I'm happy to lead if needed, but I haven't ridden any of the trails up there except that one trail Chris, Bill, Walker and I did a month or so ago (don't recall its name... Chimney something?). I'm "Intermediate" now that I have a smaller bike and I've tackled quite a bit of dirt since the DV Noob Rally in March, and I have a GPS and a SPOT. If not, that's fine too, I'm content to follow.

I don't qualify for any of Chris' rides since my KLX is a dualsport and still has the stock tires. Even though I think they're pretty good for DOT semi-knobbies. :)

Cry I'm out

I'm going to have to cancel this time guys, too many things flaring up all of a sudden.

Sorry for the false alarm, everyone have fun and be safe!

hey rich, i'm glad you posted this vid. note that at the beginning we were within the campground boundary and were riding slow. couple of years ago, we had neighbors complained here on the board and to the rangers about several fucking fucks speeding and racing in the campground....which was true.

ride leaders and other riders, we're not the only god's children. please read and respect campground rules.

things could go crazy when small bikes gather together. please keep the ADV name clean.

the ranger will be there early in the morning checking the bikes

the posted speed limit inside the campground

there is this road near fish creek, no m/c when goin in but legit coming out....i don't understand but rules are rules.

If any ride leaders are needed, I'm willing to jump on that grenade. I know KM very well and am usually the leader on my local rides. This would be for higher level intermediate and advanced riders.

Sweet . . . see you there!!! Yeah unfortunately it'll be another month or so before Sarge is back in the saddle, but that'll be a good excuse for another KM trip!!!

If there is a lot of interest, we will have to break the group down into smaller ones to minimize traffic.

I will post GPS tracks very soon...wait...I do not know how to post a GPS track. PM me your email address and I will send it to those who are interested.
Rich,
Can you send me your GPS track for Kennedy Meadow?
