I have one and like it except for the trigger. Long heavy pull. There is a replacement trigger available but I haven't done mine yet.

there was something missing in my routine ... couldn't figure it out for sometime.

it was trigger time ... been missing my trigger time. went from shooting at least one tin of 500 pellets a week to zip.. nada...

dug out the old Beeman R7 which had no scope. borrowed Leupold 3.5x10x EFR 50mm for CZ heavy barrel .22 bolt. took Leupold off and proceeded to mount back on R7.

after a series of shots... scope was dialed back in... when pellets are going into same hole at 10yd. then you are dialed in.

I am looking for something for cotton tail and quail .. long story short I got access to 20 private acres where these things are all over with very few natural predators. I thought going with a air gun may be a little challenging then going out with my shot gun.

rifle in question

Well, I have one in a Phantom stock, with the GRT trigger (the bomb) and tesla seal. Shoots hard, but accuracy is wanting. I have a stock barrel and muzzle weight, I hear if you remove the muzzle weight, groups shrink. Though, it is minute-of-squirrel at 30 yards as it is.

If you buy one, first thing to do is get a one-piece scope mount and a decent parallax adjustable scope.

How long is your barrel without the brake? I might order a 2400kt .22 next week. I'm trying to decide between a 14 or 18" barrel.

I stopped by Cabellas the other day and happened to be looking at air rifles, the Gamo 750fps model was priced at $100, when a funny old guy of about 80 walked up and said "you thinking about buying one of those?" I told him "I was thinking about it" when he pointed to one on the rack for close to $300 and said "I'll sell you one just like that for the same price, I'm going to trade it in for the next fastest model" So $100 bucks later I've got a like new Gamo Whisper 1200fps with scope.

Grab a gas piston and a custom trigger and you'll be all set.

I ordered a Crosman TR77 NP only because I haven't shot a gas piston rifle yet. If I like it, I'll put a GRT trigger in it.

With one pump, it's fairly quiet. With three pumps (the max), your neighbors will hear it.

But it has distict pop/twang even out at 10yds
I think most of it is the metal porch roof magnifing it.

My brother recently bought a house, and finally went all through the basement/garage, and discovers a gun in a box.

He's not into them, and wants it out of the house. Comes over yesterday, and says it's in the trunk. Open the trunk and there's a Benelli box, I'm psyched! Open the box to discover a Crossman 760 rifle.

Don't know the year, but it has a green plastic light gathering front sight. Seems fairly straight forward in operation, but it's obviously a low end airgun.

Any comments or experience with this rifle?
