Only the widths up to 130 have that bar.

I just read a report that pointed to someone getting more than 18,000 miles (30,000 km) out of their 130 E07. Of course their tire was worn down to the bottom of the wear strip at that point. But still...if it get's a comfy 8,000 it'll be a great tire. I'm on the threshold of making a purchase.

I got impatient waiting on new tubes. I installed the rear today using a once used tube that was still in good condition. Checked my book and that TKC pictured above had over 10,000 miles on it. It was dark till I got it finished so pics and first impressions will have to wait until tomorrow.

The thing with TKCs is that if you ride mostly pavement they are the wrong tire for the job.
Most of my local riding includes as much dirt/gravel as I can find,, and gravel just doesn't wear out tires like asphalt. With that said that particular tire had 5400 miles of cross country pavement riding 80-90MPH for hour.. days on end. I would rather have had a tire like the E07 on for that ride. |

We can't do that kind of sealed road blasting here. Apart from the speed limit being 100 km/h (62mph), our roads are much more like this: ![]() The E-07 is Clintnz's favourite all-rounder tyre at the moment, so I will be giving them a go next time I need that type of tyre.
