I've had a rear E07 for my G/S on back order from them for over a year. Every few months they email me asking if I want to cancel. Time to move on, I think.

(Edit 28Jan) I need to correct myself on that last statement, it will be 7 months next week that my order has been on back order, not 1 year. Sure seems like a year though.

between have zero interest in the US & under-supplying tires to markets, it sure looks like Mitas cares but not really that much if they supply enough motorcycle tires. i'm sure their ag biz makes them the $ or why would they flounder so hard? maybe they have serious production capacity issues?
they sure have plenty of people in the US holding their hands out with dollars saying please take mine.
Not quite accurate there Mister Bill. Here is an email I got from the new US distributor of Mitas motorcycle tires dated January, 14th:

Hey Monte,

Thank you for your interest in the Mitas tires. We are working on the
details to bring these tires over. We should know the delivery time and
pricing very soon and I will let you know.

Thank you,

Davey

My suggestion would be for any inmates interested in these tires to email or call Davey and let him know which tires you want so he can gauge interest for his first shipment.

that's rough. over a year for Mitas to supply tires?
i can understand time on the shipping boating delay,
but that says supply issue from Mitas in my book.

interesting development for sure.
hopefully he can get stock better than Canada.
so MX1west - california is NOT the distributor.

I note Mitas is using the same distribution techniques as Heidenau w/ MotoAmore. Instead of picking a major established US distributor they are just picking a shop to handle all of the US. I'm sure the major distributors wanted supply #s and guarantees and that comes back to the fact that Mitas is not going supply in any great #s. It's obvious they do not make enough tires for world wide demand.

I checked and did not see any info yet on Davey's website.
I need a E07 rear so i'll hit him up for pricing and availability.
Thanks for the post.

oh this is going to be interesting.

here is the company address?
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=1930+...gl=us&t=h&z=15

so Davey is running a biz out of his shop
http://durelleracing.com/store/index...=22&chapter=20
and is going to be the US supplier? he better start building an extension of his small building (or rent a building closer to town/UPS for his Mitas tire sales only)...and start his own good Mitas tire thread and let this one die!

i sure hope is ready for the flood gates on these rear tires and doesn't blow it royally and Mitas supply in the US stays royally screwed.

judging how the K60 needs supply #s (& thus storage space to distribute) i'm guessing the E07 is gonna sell like crazy as people have said over and over, it works better than the K60 and last just as long.

I hope he is dealing with different folks than I did.
Otherwise it looks like he is at the same point with them that I was nearly 2 years ago.

It's definitely a supply issue from Mitas. In the last shipments from Mitas, no 120/80-18 TT E-07 were on the boat.

Also I need to correct myself on a previous statement, it will be 7 months next week that my order has been on back order, not 1 year. Sure seems like a year though.

I just got a great email from Davey.
He is 100% committed to make this work and have proper supply in the US.
He is still working on logistics and will chime in when the time is right, but asked me to post this for him:

Hello everyone, my name is Davey Durelle and as you all know, by Google maps and our website, we are a small business and are focus is on serving the Dirt Track community with their suspension and product needs. Our connection with Mitas came about a year ago when they started to develop a Dirt Track Tire for us. Along with bringing in the Dirt Track Tires Mitas has offered other tires in there line up. Stepping into the offroad/dualsport market was one area we felt would best suit our company. Please don't be concerned about not seeing the tires or information on our website. The Mitas DualSport line of tires will be added when we get a little further along in the process.

We do know Mitas has been a great company to work with and has produced some amazing tires for our Dirt Track applications. We are finding the E-Series DualSport tires have been very well received and obviously way overdue for availability in the US.

We do have most of the logistics worked out for the import, transportation, and warehousing process. I've been told the past problems in seeing these tires in the US has been from the lack of commitment to bring in the quantities required by Mitas. Mitas is a huge company with several manufacturing plants and their ability to produce tires has never been an issue.

Once more of the details are worked out we will be able to provide the information you need and we will never make any empty promises.

Thank you all for your interest and we look forward to working with you all in the near future.

I dropped back after some trouble.
Some persons were not helpful with creating fuss. But I survived....
It only caused a delay.

Lets look forward

Whats new ?

* I called myself "marketing+promotion" now and Im also responsible for
answer to posts in the related boards.
* Mitas bought another tyre manufacturer and we have been busy with the
implementation.
* I made my homework ( see previous EMail )

I met Davey several times even in the Czech Republic.I will support Durelleracing in the best way I can.
