this thread should be used as the "what not to do" example for internet marketing.
Sure we're dealing with a language barrier and timezone issues but wow. Just wow. Simple questions like: Where can I buy it? How much will it cost? Do you have it in this size? All get evasive/half answers. Not a soft sell it's a no sell. I'll stick with my Anakee2's thanks. I can get them at most dealers and from most online retailers. All of whom know the product and are willing to answer simple questions. I hope you guys can pull it together for the US market but right now you aren't even in the same race as the others. |

the us $ to canadian $ is favorable. order a E07 rear here: http://www.mx1canada.com/mitas-dualsport-tires/ http://www.xe.com/ 130-17" 130.00 CAD = 126.471 USD Canadian Dollar US Dollar 150-17" 50.00 CAD = 145.929 USD Canadian Dollar US Dollar the bummer is $35 shipping. anyone near the canadian border could ship to a location just across the border and go get the tire.

You can't tell him it's an offroad tire and exempt from DOT?

I work on a military installation and that's a headache I don't need to deal with. So unless we can get some additional information, it looks like I'll be going with the K60.
www.mx1canada.com lists three dealers in the Montreal area. Any chance you are close enough to swing in and put eyes on a set of these tires?

It'll be a couple of weeks before I'm in Montreal again. I can call and see what's in stock.

That would be great. Ask them to look at the tires and see if they are marked DOT please. (I'd call but I'm in the middle east for another couple weeks.) I sent an email to customer service at the mx1 website about a week ago but have not received a reply yet.

Mitas aproved tyres
I´m not happy about the statement ( "due DOT restrictions" ).
This is another turn of the screw and I don´t like to do this ... but.... ECE.75 and DOT proved patterns are C-15 C-16 C-17 C-18 C-19 C-20 C-21 XT-754 XT-914 C-02 EF-05 EF-06 EF-07 EF-08 E-xx (02,03,05,06,08,09,10) including Dakar H-xx ( all ) |

Did you mean to omit the E-07?
The E-07's are very popular in this part of the world. I forgot to check the sidewall when I was eyeballing my mate's one at the weekend. We are lucky in that we can use anything meeting the European, American or Japanese standards.

If they can be shipped here, I don't have a problem buying a non DOT tire.
I run them sometimes anyway. |
