Does anyone know if Ned plans on doing a presentation your of his Dakar? This would be great subject matter for a movie and a tour like "Long Way 'Round" only ten times better. If Ned did a tour and presentations at KTM dealers around the states, I'd be first in line for a ticket just to shake his hand!

The proceeds could go to finance next years Dakar.

Quite a few of you have commented on how much you've enjoyed the experience of simply listening to a story on this thread (it is quite a departure from our ADD/hyper-media fueled culture). I hesitate a little bit to post this here simply because it's not Ned telling the story, but I'm sure that he can relate to it in his current routine. It's not a rally story, but it is a motorcycling story that many of you can probably identify with. I hope you enjoy it.

Dood you are almost there. I have ridden a KLR from Lima to Santiago and back, it felt like forever. Only 3 days out. Ride on Brother Ride on. It is in the books.
