Err, what I hope I was saying is that the Mefo is more durable, has better feel, is offered in a wider variety of sizes that fit non Michelin tires, and generally seems the superior product after a substantial amount of testing. Mefo = better IMO.

Sounds like you picked up Mefo as a sponsor

Ned,

I may have missed it somehow, but were the Michelin mousse you were using the enduro or rallye models? I'd read somewhere that the enduro models were not as durable as the rallye. Just curious, since the Michelin mousse seemed to be the standard.

Sorry, didn't mean to oversimplify. MX1West has and continues to help me immensely, with discounts for my supporters, connections and help. But, I think asking for $2500 of mousses is a bit farther than they can go... I could get either Mefo or Michelin for the same price, I'm buying Mefo.

That was a standard enduro model, but I've had both at various times and not found a huge difference.

One key problem IMO, is that they are designed to fit Michelin tires, which are generally quite small interior volume. The M16 is their latest mousse, and it's better than anything previous up front, but it still doesn't last as well for me as the Mefo, and it seems to have a squarer profile which I don't prefer for handling.

Ha Ha Ha. I know that theater so well. 1 son had a tire deal once, and it was really fruitful. 2 son had one too, but a struggle. What they learned was you needed the winning tire regardless.

Does Dunlop have a stake in this race and a product to compete for a win?
