I'm OK. Beat up,bleeding and sore. I am feeling like shit from hurting my favorite bike. I'm not one of those that it's just a bike.

The bike is about 1 mile or so away from the tag in the woods. It's really gnarly back there. The fire dept. guys rolled one of the four wheelers on the way out. Towing it or riding it out isn't gonna happen. Both have already been tried.

I still need help of some type. No one is willing to try to recover it and I'm about broke. I have to call the Army Corps of Engineers and let them know what's going on. The fire dept. guys said it'd be a good idea 'cause they have cameras all over the woods up there. They probably already know it's there according to the fire dept.

Hate to hijack the thread. The Aprilia is the only bike I have running with tags so moving the tag will take someone else.

We'll check on it this morning for you and I'll call when I get to mdub's or from there if we can get a signal.

I'm thinking you'll get bonus points for your effort!

boothdoc, bucho and I are headed west at 0800 local - in light of thisguy's post, I'll probably be thankful for the backup!

Just got off the phone with the Army Corps of Engineers. Real nice guy. Told me they'd keep an eye on it and it's no problem. He thought it was kinda funny. They already knew what was going on. They keep a close eye on goings on around the dam and reservoir.

He did raise another idea. Anyone have a decent sized boat? I'm close to a campsite right on the shore. Still probably have to disassemble it at least partially. I believe it'd be safer than four wheelers.

Sadly I everyone I know in West Virginia is leaving for vacation today. Downside of being anti-social I guess.

Damn dude, you need a massive set of balls to take a Tuono out there Sucks it ended up the way it did though. I wish I had some other ideas for you, but I'm at a loss. Good luck getting it back out...it probably won't be as bad as you think.

I forfeit the tag because I cannot set another one. My bike is stuck, hurtin' and I am woefully short on cash. Like I said earlier this is the probably biggest mistake I ever made.

And man am I outta shape. I hurt bad today from fighting the bike and picking it up a few times. I'm moving around like an old man. I found a boat but can't use it until next weekend. I'm thinking after the quad getting rolled yesterday a boat will be the safest way out. An injury would just make things worse.

The worst may not be over yet. I'm not really worried about theft because of where it is but vandalism is a threat. The Ranger I spoke with earlier said most people in Elk Garden are generous helpful people and I've found that to be true. He did say there's a few low lifes but they aren't too bright. They brag so if they do something shitty he said "we'll find them for you."
