Tintaldra pub sold

Many will know that Alf & Maya have had their place on the market for a while - well, someone's paid them for it.
Apparently they'll stay in the area, but it looks like the new owners might be going for a slightly more upmarket clientele...
Dunno what this means for riders looking for a cheap overnight stop: it's a bit far out of town for the latte set...

About five weeks ago, on the way back from a CFA trip at Carters beach on the Murray between I think, Tatong & Tolmie - that was probably about 50km at a guess. I dunno, I wasn't on a mission, just wandering to see where roads come out.
Three weeks ago, coming back from Cooma, I went to Buchan (the Barry Way?); no idea how long the dirt was - I'm not much for measuring, logging & recording. It is what it is.
Couple of months ago in the Kinglake forest with my wife & daughter on our dirt-bikes we probably did more than that, but that was over two days - does that count?
You?
And why do you ask?

And PBee - we just got your crappy weather too; might not be heading to Broadford this weekend for the Girls on Track after all.....

Had the best feed there on the way to the island few years ago, would of been 12 of us there & she knew how everyone ordered thier steaks without writing it down and the salad & veges just filled the table. Great hosts that night.

Beautiful old country pub and great hosts, be sorry to see them go, had a few feeds & beers there,

hope the new owners keep the history on the walls,
plaque & photo of a mate that was killed there years ago hanging up in the front bar,
Cheers

I was curious, as it's usually only the keyboard cowboys who spend their days sprouting inane shit on this forum about latte sipping BMW riders who dare not travel beyond beyond a small towns street lights.

Maybee you should come to Jingellic and meet a few of the members who you consistently put shit on and you may be pleasantly surprised, some are even riders.

As for me, I don't ride much these days other than to have a coffee.

Yes great People - And trusting, we stayed there last February on the way to the Superbikes, 3 of us - turns out they have no EFTPOS facility at all - and of course being plastic orientated we had less than $50 in cash between us - Alf feed us Ales whilst Maya feed us steaks and just said pay when you can get to a bank and deposit into our account - we stayed the night, had a grand tour of Alf's garage with the spectacular Crossley Sports Car he had and left the next day after a breakfast of bacon and eggs and proper brewed tea!

Lovely people, just like Lofty at Walwa Pub - will be sadly missed

If you look upwards, I think you'll find it was a BMW owner that introduced BMWs into the subject; I was thinking more of Ducati-riders (and yes, before you ask, I have...)
As to "meet a few of the members who you consistently put shit on" - firstly, I've been to quite a few events and usually sit quietly, observing; but after about 200 rallies, I've lost the enjoyment of loud farts, dick-jokes and stone-bombs, loud, opinionated idiots and incessant f-bombs : if that makes me an old fart, so be it.
And "consistently"? Really? Apart from wanting Lentil as the King of Australia?

Amen to that, SBSP; Guido told me that the car is believed to be the only one of its kind in the world: one of 6 prototypes and the only one that survives.

Sadly missed,is there any riders over a certain age who haven't stayed there, seen the car, travelled up the hill up the road for looking for mobile reception, heard about the feud with the old lady over the road, tried to drink the bar dry.Its an institution.
