Have you done any night riding with it yet? What is the spread like from the lights...are they the stock and an x2?

Lights

Out of curiosity I opened up the shed doors & turned the bikes lights on..... running on battery only, taken with my HTC One XL; so it looks much worse in the pics than it did on the bike:

Polisport -at least the're legal- Low beam (45/40w BA20D globe)

Polisport High Beam

Bike "All HIgh"

It'll be interesting to see what the intensity is like with a few revs on the bike..... but not tonight as my dogs go ballistic when the bike's running, so I wasn't game to start it up (wake up the neighbours)

Now wth HID..... Yesterday I had a look at the HID modification that I'd made to the Lightforce 170: Essentially it's a H3 fitting, so I took it out of the lightforce & it put straight into the current driving light.... the only problem was finding a place for the starter- lots of wires there now

I didn't get it all done until after midnight, so I haven't had it out yet.

Benefit: 75w freed up. Now (if I want to) I can run my auxiliary Trailtech HID light as well.

The spread from all high is looking really good, though it is a bit hard to tell from the photos, but going on the difference between the polisport (i have one on mine) and the all high there is a lot of gain there. How difficult was it to utilise the polisport light? Is it easy to switch it between the standard housing and the new fairing?

That glow in the dark fairing looks really cool, can't wait to see it in the flesh, would also like to see the reactions it gets in the high country ride

The Polisport is only held in with 3 screws. Easy to put straight onto a fairing.... but mine is mounted to the tower with the rest of the crap.

The fairing isn't as vibrant as the original..... not sure why as they were painted in the same way.

More pics

Just a few new pics (I realised that I had none of the tower from the front.... Spaghetti?)

And the bike in 'Trail' mode (17lt tank.)

P.S. I still haven't had the bike on a night run to be able to comment on the lights.

Hey mark, looking good. Your crimping and wiring up skills must be getting pretty good by now how long does it take to change the tanks over

The extra bracket I made up for the 28lt is what takes longest, otherwise a 5 min job.... There's been a lot of crimps used in my shed over the past few years.

That's a bit rich...

What I had long suspected has now been confirmed: My bike is running rich.

I've now gone from a 165 main down to a 160 main.... I'll see how that goes, probably get it re-checked when I'm in the area again.
