In 10 miles I can say this. holy crap Honda hit the nail on the head with this one. Stef loves it. and I have to say it handles my gravel road like a dirt bike. seems to ride on the road better then the FZ. 3 things I know I have to deal with. it needs a taller windshield, it needs a front fender extension, and the rear tire huger. oh 4 things it has to have a guard made to protect the rear brake reservoir because it's in a really really bad spot. the power is electric, that's the only way I know to describe it.

more to come after the weekend.

well I looked at the rear tire huger I cant see it keeping the mud off the rear shock very well. I think I will make my own rear mud guard.

Nice bike. I made a rear mud guard out of an old HD tube. Super glued to the airbox. It's stayed on over 18,000 miles.

I actully have some under fender plastic from a truck that should have a nice curve. And there's a few spots unthe the rear that are places for bolts that are not used. So it should be easy to mod. Ill work on this in the morning.

DR200 upgrades

New aluminum bars, grips and hand guards. Way better feel verses the stock steel bar with waffle grips. My wife is pretty happy with the setup.

Those stock blinkers are huge!

Finally found some time to start working on the KTM.

The handling on this beast has gotten progressively worse over the past year. I intend to send the rims off to Woody's for some tlc:

I washed it yesterday!

First step is to remove the rubber. These MotionPro tire tools are really nice to start the process. These stay on the bike when I'm riding.

I am a little scared to lever on the MotionPro tools as they feel a little flimsy, so I use the other set of tire spoons I carry on the bike to continue.

One side of the tire off, tube out and now it's time to remove the other side.

You could easily see the taco in the rim while it was on the bike, but I had no idea it was this bad. No wonder the bastard thing wobbled so badly.

The process with Woody's is to submit pictures for an estimate before shipping. I have no idea if they will be able to true this wheel. I would really rather have a superlaced super duper new wheel from them, but I know from past purchases that Woody doesn't give them away for free. I plan on getting these wheels cleaned up and take pictures to submit to them and see what they say.

No wonder you were trying so hard to ride on one wheel.
