The lack of news last night had me very scared it was worse than just being out. Horrible that his race ended so soon but glad he is OK.

Really bummed to see misfortune has taken you out of the race so early on. I know the feeling completely. Hopefully you learned a ton about the event and got enough stage miles in to get beyond the race jitters and adrenalin build up. We are all impressed that you got to the start which alone is a challenge. Maybe we will see you at Sandblast? buy you a beer and we can discuss future events

Just talked to Bill and we are trying to find him a flight home out of San Juan, Argentina. After that we are hoping we can find him a seat on my flight so we can see the finish in Lima together (oh, and Machu Picchu too!).

This is definitely not how we thought things would end but after the extreme lack of information I'm just glad he's alright. Thanks so much to everyone for your help (emotionally and financially). Now to start raising money for next year.....

Hopefully we will see a bunch of you at Sand Blast!
