In high water it looks like if you tried to run right of center your front wheel would just butt into that 2.5' ledge! And you might tump over .
You going to post the video......

WAY COOL ... That is the first picture I have seen of that crossing without water. Now I can see the rocks that IHF and myself were trying to avoid ...

Thanks for the post!

I have heard that there is a trail that drops off the west side of Prentice Cooper and comes off somewhere in the vicinity of Oak Grove. There is also supposed to a be trail that comes off the mountain from Big Fork (I am thinking it has to be near Ketner Cove Lake). If that is true, then a person could do the Sequatchee Valley ride and come out at the TTC, cross over a bit of pavement, then do a trail ride up the mountain into Prentice Cooper. From there, you could string together those trails (in PC) and then cut across Big Fork, go down the mountain via trails, and be back out near Poswell's crossroads. It would definately be an epic, all day affair.

I am going to try and figure out it and have a route posted by fall.

Crossing Haley rd, always take a line as far upstream as you can. The water gets alot deeper but the rocks are more manageable.

Hey Don, did you guys make it up? We rode the south end for abought 80 miles and went home tired and happy. We got mixed up in all the civil war reenactment stuff. Great ride, hope to meet you next time.

Yup!

We were there! Saw the Civil War stuff also....we were late...got there at 9:30....we rode down to the bottom 'cause 3 guys had not been there before...they had to see the ledge you ride out on...

We rode from the south end up....skipped Haley as it was closed for the "troops"...did the Sulfur and Braddison Loop across from Presimmon....missed it last time...that one is a hoot! Lots of rock ledges and fast sections with water breaks!!!

Then we back tracked to Haley as it was now opened...took it all the way out to TN 27....nice ride.....I thought it might be flat after the creek......but it has enough varied terrian to make a fun run.

Then we looped back north and east to come back in to PC proper and loaded up...10 to 4ish about the same miles as you...a fantastic day!

Sorry we never saw you guys...but we will be back!!!
