Yosemite
Hi guys...Gonna bullet up to Yosemite in late August. Anything I need to do on the way up from Phx? How about while in Yosemite and around there.
Thanks, Dave. |

Glacier Point Road is a must, imho. East end of park out hwy 120 to Tuolumne Meadows & Tioga Pass-always good stuff here. At the top of pass is Saddlebag Lake that is very nice/quiet.
East side of park north & south on 395 will offer up some very nice scenery. Mammoth is a nice Sierra town with many hotels/restaurants. |

The last town before Yosemite National Park is Oakhurst. On HWY 41, on the right side traveling north, is a little joint (Todd's Cookhouse Barbeque). You MUST stop in for some ribs. Simply awesome. I don't know the address, but I'm sure you can find it online. It's not expensive but it is delicious food.
Be safe. |
