Crappy Service

I hope others have had better luck then I did with Dual Sport Plus. I ordered a tank bag over a week ago, told them I needed it for the long weekend (no problem!) They sent me a tracking number on Monday and 4 days later no shipment. I asked why I don't have it even though I have a tracking #.

Morons never shipped it out! So no bag for the long weekend riding.

Not Impressed.

This is definitely an anomaly. I've placed 5-6 orders there and most have arrived the next day (I'm in Ottawa). The prices are typically within 10% of US prices on most product which deters me from cross-border shopping, and on one occasion I asked them to price match a Revzilla price and they did. I am a happy customer and will continue to shop there.

The only thing that irks me is the inability to get a total cost over the webbecause of how they handle the shipping charges, but it was explained to me why they do it that way.

^ Similar experience. Ordered some KLIM pants, new for this year and immediately got a return email with a time frame of when they would have them. Arrived as indicated. I had a question about the billing as my credit card showed two charges pending so I called, got right through and spoke to Jody. He explained that one was the original hold, the other the actual charge, and only one would actually be charged to me. Its a little thing but being able to pick up the phone and get a immediate response is nice.

Looks like another case of "your bad planning does not necessarily mean an emergency for others"

Wrong.

I gave them a week, they said they could. I said if it could not be done, no problem, I would get it from somewhere else, just let me know.

Just got a full apology and a refund on shipping, so I guess I can give them credit for that.

I understand your frustration, things like that can really throw off your trip.

I ordered 2 sets of tires on Monday, wanting them for this wknd, they didn't have them in stock, but said they could order them in, and ship them up to muskoka. I received them yesterday no problem. Great service. I reckon if i hadn't, i just would have used the tire i had on the bike.

Nobody's perfect, shit happens, perhaps a trip cancelation should be in order.

Wasn't that great customer service.
Better planning needed in future.

You can't please everyone all the time and when you do make a mistake, owning it and making good will gestures is another way to demonstrate customer service. It when things don't go well that a business can show it's true colours. I'd give 'em for that.

In my experience, Les and the crew consistently go above and beyond.

And I'm a retailer's worst nightmare. (cheeeeap)

Just got back from riding to Ushuaia over the winter, the Sidi boots I bought from DualSpotPlus started falling apart on the way down. No problem with Sidi replacing them but they wanted the old ones back first and that wasn't going to happen I would have had to ride barefoot to get home. Dual Sport stepped up and took a pair of boots off the shelf and got them down to me for the ride back north. Now that is service above and beyond what is required of them, I think they're a fantastic place to do business

Slightly off topic, how did you enjoy your ride south?
