front brakes squeak loudly at full stop

I have an 07 Yamaha WR450F. I noticed Saturday that the front breaks let out a pretty loud noise when you apply them to a full stop. They're quite until right when the bike stops, then as they grab the rotor it makes a pretty loud noise. Does anyone know how to correct this?

All the break components are in great shape, this is more of just a friction issue. I'm not sure why the front breaks make this noise and the rear brakes don't.

Remove the caliper
remove the pads
scrub the pads with a toothbrush and brake cleaner
clean the rotor with brake cleaner
Reassemble
Done.

I sand the pad friction material with sandpaper to clean them up,,,,,,,then use Synthetic Brake lube(made for caliper slides) on the back of the pads that contact the caliper,,the noise is caused by the pads vibrating against the caliper piston and front pad holder......i`ve done this on cars/bikes for 25 years in the garage, works great,no squeel

as techforlife, also for sanding the pads use something flat as a base, not your leg, hand or the gravel outside

but also make sure the anti rattle springs aren't missing, often thats the real cause.

Also if its a floating style disc make sure its not rattling about to much, this can cause a squeal when coming to a full stop.

+1.

you might also consider sparying the *backs* of the pads with anti-squeal spray (like CRC Disc Brake Quiet).
