Asheville NC, New to the area

Hi all,
I just moved to the asheville area from Niger and I'm looking for people to ride with. I have limited access to the internet so please be patient if you don't hear back from me right away. I have a KLR 600 and a currently not running cbr 600. I will have a cell phone on monday the 15th so if you PM me I can call or send you my number.
I will be working for outward bound and start on the 20th at which point I'll be in the feild untill early May. So if it's after the 20th when you read this you'll have to be REALLY patient about hearing back from me. Post or e-mail me and let's go ride!

Cameron

Yup that's the one, you're looking at the national page. They have a school based in NC (www.ncobs.org) that works in NC, FL, Bahama's and Patagonia. with a little luck I can drive to work.... in chile. This summer I'll be co-leading backpacking/wildeness travel, rock climbing and white water canoeing trips for NCOBS here in Western North Carolina.

Welcome to WNC/asylum

there are lots of dual sporters in the area. i live just outside Waynesville, very near the parkway entrance.

i assume from the avatar you kayak? there isn't anyplace better for motorcycles AND kayaking in north america! There is only one Green Narrows!

i kayak (if you couldn't tell, lol) and/or ride both days every weekend, if you're interested drop my a line we'll go ride/paddle. you can email me at outdrcpl@yahoo.com or my cell is (828)230-0030.

You lucky SOB. That is easily one of the nicest places in the country for riding. I love it every time I go down there.

Welcome to Asheville! As XT so well put, nothing to see here.....terrible riding with crappy roads and horrid woodland conditions. I hate it here.....

I live in S. Asheville, I'll drop you a pm. I ride street only pretty much, but the occasional fire road is a blast, and there's TONS of them very close by.

Be glad to ride with ya sometime,
Chris

shhhh ... don't tell anyone but I just "aquired" a sweet 1984 ZX750-GPz & I LIKE IT!!!

so I'll be doing some "street only" riding too ... as soon as I sort out a few things and get used to not being on a thumper after almost 30 years of nothing but XT's

the dates for DGIV are May 20-22 right? i'll just have to see what's going on as we get closer..........amount of rain will make or break riding for the weekend.

since your so close lets go ride...........Cameron and I are tentatively planning a ride next weekend........3/19ish.

NOT SURE WHAT WE'LL RIDE SINCE THERE ARE NO GOOD ROADS LOCALLY

J

edit: and yes there is an alien under that sombrero and he's got a beer in his OTHER hand

You know, I was actually born in Asheville, Black Mountain to be specific. It's more a homecoming for me to go back than an invasion.
