The Blossom Trail is around Reedley,Orange Cove,Sanger, Might pop into Fresno for Chinatown festival. Quick three day blast from here in Escondido.

Yes the freeway will suck but I wanted to do this for years and the weather will be good this weekend.

I was thinking the citrus trees around Orange Cove might be blooming, but I haven't been there recently. The ride over the Grape Vine should be nice anyway.

If you go next weekend, the drag races are on at Famoso Raceway. I'm pretty sure they have everything from turbo imports to motorcycles to nitro funny cars racing that weekend. There is some rain schedule the Wed-Thurs before, though, so no telling what the weather will be.

The whole central valley should be in full almond bloom right now. Stanislaus County area is covered in miles of giant white and pink orchards. Of course there are also thousands of bee-boxes out. Bees hurt at speed.
