An African Conning his way up the East Coast

Good day and welcome to Wim's World....

(I think, to put this fred to bed, we will edit this old post a wee bit...see.... snip, gone are the things that got on my nerves in 2011, and lets get cooking with some good old yakking about riding.)

One of the great things about riding is it gives you time to think. Time to work through the things that are annoying you. And time to come to a place where you are OK with yourself and your surroundings. I think I can call riding my shrink.....

So, I'm off to a place where no-one knows me. Where I can sit with my own thoughts the whole day while the world zooms by. Smelling only my stuffy Arai. Ahhhh bliss...I can't wait.

OK, The Plan: I will fly out to Raleigh, via Amsterdam and Atlanta. Drop off my bags, grab my lid and those things below, fly back to Atlanta and then fly to Fort Lauderdale, where in preparation for a 48 state trip next year I bought this:

OK, I think I probably need to pack some stuff.

..I see everyone does that. and no report is good without peekchars. So I will include my packing regime for all you newbies. Been riding for 26 years, so I've perfected packing for the way I do things. Yes, you at the back, you are not offending me in any way, I am cheap...

Ok, since I won't have a lot of time, will be on my own and cannot afford to get lost or arrested...I'll be sleeping in cheap motels...which I understand is just as dangerous as sleeping in the open in bear country...so I don't feel too girly about that.

So first picture is of my clothing:

The rest of my clothes I will wear...so that is all you need to pack. (I did not take a peekchar of my toothbrush..no)

There are four because I will only be staying for four weeks.

This is my suitcase I'll be bringing it in.

yes, for those who are paying attention, there is an additional t-shirt my wife sneaked into my bag...women..

But there is only one, because I will only be staying one month.

I also took a pic of my wife wearing ONLY the t-shirt...whoohaa..I just had to post it....she is hawt...

OK now with all that serious stuff behind me...
more about the trip.

So landing in Fort Lauderdale I'll jump on the bike after transferring all my clothing and head off to Fort Pierce to sleep off the jet lag.
The next day travel to Titusville. hang out with people there and sleep more.
Then from there go all the way down to Key West and take a peekchar at Mile Zero. I know I will feel right at home here as my mother in law calls me "that good for nothing" Looking forward to that.

Then I will head back north, stay over in Daytona

Daytona to Savannah

Savannah to Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach to Jamesville.

Chill in Jamesville

Jamesville to NY

Hang in NY for a few days before swinging back to NC

Then exploring NC from Jamesville
