Thumb Thanks!!!!!

Ben, Thomas and the guy from Riverside,

Just wanted to say THANKS for the fantastic service today. Drove my dr650 90 miles to Justgastanks to buy a tank,
IMS 4.9 yellow.
Ben gave me a great price and I had my tie-downs ready to take it home. Ben asked me if I had time for them to install it.
Me being tight with my brass asked, how much. He said no problem, no charge. WOW. I had just filled up for the ride home 1 mile ago. Both of them jumped in, took my tank off, drained it and in no time the job was finished. WOW. Thomas helped put my old tank in my bag on the back, tied it down and I was off. Tank looks great on black bike. Going on a 350 mile ride tomorrow so no gas worries.
Again, THANKS to Justgastank guys as there price was great, all of them were well aware of all aspects of the business and the part of installing the tank was, well, unbelievable!!!! Also showed me all of the other stuff, Wolfman, Giant Loop and many of the other brands they carry.
Just a great adventure going to there shop. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spoke with someone at Just Gas Tanks yesterday (sorry, don't remember his name)... inquiring about ordering up some Safari tanks for my 2009 KTM 990 Adventure. After a bit of prompting he eventually told me that Safari Australia isn't planning on another production run till mid to late summer, with no tanks coming into the US till mid to late September.

Further conversations with some retailers in the know led me to find out that these tanks are not really the main business of the manufacturer and I was led to believe that supplying these tanks to the retail market isn't a priority for them.

Is any of the above true and what's the REAL scoop on future availability of Safari Tanks in general, and Safari Tanks for the KTM 950/990 Adventure, in particular?

Thanks in advance for any information you can pass on to us that are seriously interested in these tanks?

Wow, I am really not sure who would have told you that information. We import a few hundred tanks usually once or twice a year. We are getting our next shipment in hopefully around the beginning of Summer. Our good friends in Australia take much pride in the tanks they make, and making happy customers. We could always have any tank you needed shipped directly from the MFG to your doorstep, you would just have to pay the shipping on it. I apologize to you for whomever relayed that information to you.

Thanks for the very fast reply to my questions! Again... I don't remember the gentleman's name, but he answered the phone yesterday (mid-morning) when I called.

I'm PMing you with some questions.

on the fence

PM does not work with Justgastanks? So, ill ask here.

I am struggling between two tanks for my 09 KTM 450 xcw.
1. Clockworks 3.3. Needs shrouds
2. Acerbis 3.4 Built in shrouds

I will be using it for fast desert rides with many miles. max range will be about 165(moab to white rim to moab).
I crash a lot so im leaning towards the clockworks tank because I can change the plastic when I decide to sell...
But, the acerbis will protect radiators....

Any feedback for either would be very helpful.

Thanks

Hey there! I just moved form o'side to Temec (was just off Burroughs!). Wish I knew you guys were out there. So I need a large tank for my xr600r. Saw you had the advrider discount still going. Pretty cool! Any used tanks laying around the shop you'd be willing to part with (not toooooo worried about cosmetics, just need more capacity)? Best price for a new one (I'm guessing a Clark 5gal white or natural)? Thanks in advance!

Thought I would chime in here. I just received my Giant Loop Coyote and a safari cap from the Boys in Brown (UPS) . I spoke with Tom (?), very helpful guy who actually went to your inventory area and made sure that the cap I wanted would work. I was amazed how quick my order arrived.

Keep doing what your doing, you have got my attention and return business.
