any advice for pave roads? i know, this is an adv site, but i dont have time to hit many backroads this time.
let me know what you know....

ps: i should have put it out there earlier if anyone wanted to join the trip (from fernie bc) west but its kinda late now...crap

i am leaving fernie bc in an hour or 2 ... on thru either roosville to eureka mt or over towards trail and into wash....
not sure what day i will get or OR

Central Oregon is a close second to Northern Cal. as far as paved roads. You will definitely NOT do wrong by staying within The Dalles [NW] , Redmond [SW] , John Day [S] , The Snake River and Hells Canyon [E] , and Troy [NE]. There's just too much. I've used John Day as a base before. Probably as good a base as any, although it's not really in the centre of things, the centre of the good stuff there's not really any towns with hotels and decent food.
How much time do you have?
Do you like to sample VERY good beer???

No point in trying to help ya out as you only gave 2 hrs advance and your likely several hrs or days in by now.
