Yes, they are. That's why I just JB Welded it. We'll see if it holds.

Well, the JB Weld seems to be holding. Started it up and let it idle until the fan came on. Shut it down and watched for leaks....nothing. Now if it can withstand the abuse of riding.....

maybe I should buy a tank.

I think the DRZ deserves an Anvil award already.

I'm sure the tank would be a high maintenance drama queen.

You're probably right. That thing is tough as nails, but I baby it.

Twisty--

Sounds like all the excitement started after I made my exit Saturday.

Glad the radiator's holding up. If it was the left side that got busted, I think I remember when that might have happened.

My bike leaked zero oil on the way back. I think a prior JB weld job was just attracting a whole lot of that dust, so I'm just gonna leave it as is.

It was nice meeting you and riding with you. It was good to follow you and see what one of these DRZ's will do when ridden properly. We'll have to go back and cover the rest of those trails sometime--when I have a skidplate.

Yes, it was the left side, but it was cracked from the shroud being pulled out, not pushed in from the most eloquent turn-around I made in front of you. I think it happened just after you left and the aptly named trblmkr found a "better" way up that big hill I climbed then came back down while you guys waited. I didn't make it up and had to wrestle that pig around on a narrow hill. I must have hung the radiator guard on something. We noticed the leak after I got up to where trblmkr was waiting for me. We were only a couple of minutes behind you.

What I saw of Oakey Mountain I liked much better than Locus Stake. It was good meeting you too. We'll have to do it again sometime.

I knew it wouldn't be long before my name got brought up about what happened to your radiator. I am not being a very good influence on my riding buddies here lately. Maybe I just need to get the wing back out and stick to the street riding. I agree that was not a good choice of a route up the hill. All I had to do is hold on and keep the front tire from coming up. Once again the trials tire made all the difference staying hooked up in those leaves and rocks.

I researching an online college course in business management. Anyone recommend a good online college I can take a course or two through. I'm not seeking a degree, just a few courses.

Rumor has it that DRZs can be fixed with a little piece of rubber tube and a golf tee

Mine is living proof, but once you get it out of the woods, you've got to upgrade to JB Weld.

I've been kinda wanting a KTM a Husaburg, or something a little more sporty, but I'm afraid I would miss my little pig. The damn thing is bullet proof.
