Ends up in black pines. Pipeline road, runs north on top of the ridge from batchelor heights.

I learned to ride in Kamloops, never knew how lucky I was until I moved away.

Ah well... in the ballpark at least! The view looked vaguely familiar - I grew up in Clearwater and often took the less-traveled path to Kamloops instead of dealing with the herds of RV's on Hwy 5. And yes... some incredible trails and backroads in that area!

Here's a pretty easy one that hasn't been done yet.

Are you riding this weekend? We're trying to work a trip into the Cariboo, leaving Thursday, interested?

If you rode to Algonquin Park from Toronto there's a good chance you might pass this...

Could it be Hwy 13 eastbound at the Alberta border?

This is east of Hwy 885 on Hwy 501 and it's actually the south leg of Pakowki Lake you crossed. That crap gravel was my back yard for a few years and I still drive my truck through it on occasion. I've heard many stories of downed bikes on the stretch of road from Hwy 879 to Manyberries, Ab. on Hwy 501.

And they must have a mandate to use a minimum amount every year or they can't get more the next. The marbles were 5 to 6 inches deep along some sections of 501. Took me over three hours to cover one 100km stretch riding in the grass beside the road, the gravel was unrideable. Wouldn't even want to try driving a truck in that stuff. Only passed one other vehicle using the road and I crossed half or Alberta on it.

10 4 ghost rider, it's Hurley. No riding for me for a couple of weeks, back to work until the 13th or I'd be in for sure. I think Duane and I will be up there the last week of September so we'll have to talk about where you went and if you hit snow anywhwere high. I appreciate the invite though.
