NM Tech Day on September 3rd in Albuquerque
I posted this in the Rockies forum too. It might be of interest to a few of you here.
I am hosting a Tech Day for Airheads on September 3rd at my home in Albuquerque, NM. This tech day is designed to prepare airheads for the Sipapu Rally the next weekend (near Taos) hosted by the LOEBMW club--though you are very welcome to attend even if you aren't attending Sipapu. If you have a BMW Airhead and would like to attend, PM me for address and directions. We will start about 8:30 AM and quit whenever we want to. Lunch will be provided. Might be some breakfast too if you arrive before 9:00 AM. I have a fairly well equipped shop with two lifts and most of the tools needed for basic work on Airheads. What I don't have will probably be available from another of the NM Airheads. We will be changing at least one Rear Main Seal and changing at least one set of fork seals. There's a g/s ready for complete disassembly, and some tires to remount. Carbs will be synced, fluids will be changed, and lots of chinchoppering will occupy lots of time. I have a spare bed or two if any of you would like an overnight. You could pitch a tent on the lawn if you prefer. |
