...I have thought about a street fighter, and even the 848 SF is appealing with its 15,000 valve adjustment... It almost makes it practical.

The hyper is nice, but the seating position might take me a bit to get accustomed to but I may like it even more once I do.

I've had a couple of monsters (750/900sie), a BCM built Supersport, and a 2006 Sport 1000 with a 1080cc hi-comp big bore kit in it; that bike was fun (390 lbs and 76 ft lbs of torque at the wheel) as well as a Hawk GT, a couple of Buells, a Versys, and a handful of Japanese I4's from 600cc to 1000cc.

I've looked at the thumpers including the BMW (that G650 Xcountry always catches my eye), and the Husky Terra/Strada is another neat offering that is relatively cheap new if I could wrap my head around who is going to be servicing Husky's a year from now.

What I end up with will likely all depend on what comes up cheap 2nd hand and what mood I'm in on the day I pull the trigger on something.... I'm looking at everything from Victory's to WR250R's (I read a ride report about a guy who went up the Dalton Highway on a Victory Tourer... Browsing the ADV site always causes me to redefine what any bike is really capable of... Not sure if that is good thing though?)

But thanks for the feedback, and definitely once I get a bike again and make my way up to the twat, I'll definitely PM and see if you are up for it...

I have a couple friends with Victorys. Nice bikes, but not my style. They both have over 40,000 miles on them and never had a problem.

Great report!

So.........once you've made it to the end of the TWAT, I guess you could say that you've got it licked?
