Eek Advice on Southern Mex/Guat/Hond

Hey anyone there!

I am leaving Denver just after 25 March for a trip to these parts.

I just found I have to cut my trip by a couple of weeks. I had planned on about 5 weeks to get around once down there. Now I will only have 3 weeks. The preliminary plan is to zip down to coast around Puerto Vallerta and then hang to the coast until down in the Oaxaca area then spend a little time in Oaxaca/Chiapas area. Wondering if trying to get into Guat/Hond woudl be spreading me too thin. Just looking for a little sage advice from those who have gone before me.

I do like to get off the beaten path, ride an 1150 Adventure and don't mind a little gnarley stuff, enjoy it actually. Since I am riding solo, will not be taking on anything TO dicey but like getting "off road". I will be visitng someone in Oaxaca for 3-5 days, so that needs to be figured in. Kind of seeming to me I just need to limit this trip to southern Mex???????? Don't want to just blast thru - and like primitve vs tourista stuff.

Any comments would be welcome and helpful.

Later,

The CAt ( Jimbo)

For clarification -- total trip time about 5 weeks, down - hang out - and back to Den town.

You have enough time.
Just play it as you go. Set a firm 'out' date (must leave) and ride from there.

Hey Mr Jalepeno!

Thanks for your response. You know, when you have not done this stuff before, it is easy to be intimidated with some of this stuff! A brief comment from someone who has "been there" is more significant than one might think!
